Hemp Jewelry World was my first attempt at making money online. A couple of years ago I made a hemp necklace for myself and after my cousins saw it, they wanted me to make one for them too. It didn't take me very long to realize I could make money from this.

Hemp Jewelry really turned out to be a profitable niche. The only materials needed are hemp and beads, both of which can be bought very cheaply. For roughly $10 i could buy enough materials to make 5 to 10 necklaces, which could be sold for $5 to $10 each.

I then started by having my aunt sell them for me, and seeing as she worked at a school there were plenty of customers available to her. That source of customers ran dry once most of the students had bought one, so I knew I had to expand.

I set up www.HempJewelryWorld.com , and uploaded pictures of the necklaces that I had available. I soon realized that as soon as your website's uploaded, you don't instantly make money. I went months without even having a single visitor.

This lack of visitors is actually what got me into blogging. I started several blogs to try and drive traffic to my hemp jewelry site through links. It is actually a very good think that I did all of the link backs because fast forward to a year later and I now have a PR3 website that ranks in the top 2 pages for hemp jewelry.

My sales are just now starting to pick up, and so far I've made roughly $150 in sales, plus around $140 from adsense.
